Will my iPhone 8 become obsolete when Verizon discontinues 3G service? My voice & data settings have LTE and 3G options

Thanks for the quick response, unfortunately it looks like Verizon is being quite shady with their notice concerning impacted devices. They carefully worded it as “some” of the impacted devices. The iPhone 11, or at least mine, is VoLTE enabled & the upgrade needs to be non-VoLTE devices…if I’m interpreting it correctly.

I have an iPhone 11 with Verizon & they’re saying it won’t work when they discontinue 3G yet you’re saying it will…who am I supposed to believe?
