No destination for Restore
I’m trying to restore a MacBook Pro that has a new logic board. Its on an old Pro, A1425, and Apple couldn’t do it. Since it’s an old machine, and was already malfunctioning, I figured I’d do it myself.
But I’ve run into an issue. When it boot it up with Internet Recovery and get to Disk Utility, I’m trying to restore from a previous backup.
When it’s time to Select a Destination, no disks show up.
I’m attaching a shot of the disks shown in Disk Utility. The Seagate is where the backup is.
I’ve read that Erasing a disk can help, but I don’t know which one…or if that’s even the way to proceed. I tried using Terminal to try to force mount the disks 0 and 1, but got nowhere. I don’t remember the error it gave me.
Is this a lost cause or is there something I can do to get this machine working again?
