Apple Care for iMac

Does Apple have some kind of postal service for Apple Care? If I search for a service partner I can't find anyone closer that 150 km from my home. What's the point purchasing AppleCare+ If I have to take an entire day off and drive to another town just to give my Mac some service?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.2

It is the customers responsibility to get their equipment to an AASP. If you have a claim, you should call AppleCare and explain your situation to see if they have any accommodations for subscribers in your type of situation.

The point of having AppleCare is that the cost of AppleCare is far less than a repair charge on your iMac. AppleCare in most cases pays for itself if you have one claim! If you want to self insure (meaning you select to NOT get AppleCare) then you would pay for 100% for any repair expense. This assumes the computer is out of it's 1 year standard warranty.

Personally I always buy AppleCare on my Macs however I have also never had a claim on one either. As mentioned you can get free estimates and then self insure if you want if anything does go sideways. If you don't like the Terms of AppleCare no one is forcing your hand.

By the way, this forum is not for debating Apple policies, so we are getting off topic for this forum. If you don't see the value in AppleCare okay, that's fine and we are done. You asked, I answered and that is it.
