How to type @ when it's on Q

I have the new Magic keyboard case for the iPad and the at symbol is with the Q and I have no idea how to type it using the keyboard.

When you see @ like that it means you press the option key and q to get it. Keyboards that work that way include German Standard and Latin American. Is one of those what your new keyboard is for? If not, what language then?


To set the right mapping, you go to settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard and tap over at the right edge and make sure the one you need is checked (and NOT "automatic").
