My friend got a new Macbook Air M1 and this is what it happens when she turns it on. Any idea of what's happening?

Tell her to return it for a refund.

  • If the MacBook is new, then it is defective and should be returned.
  • If it was previously owned (in other words, not new) then its previous owner did not correctly prepare it for sale, and your friend will encounter continual problems with it until its previous owner prepares it correctly.
