Documents Downloading Incorrectly

I am currently in medical school and I use my iPad to download my lecture powerpoints from Blackboard to Goodnotes so I can write directly on them. However, most of the time the powerpoints end up downloading with things like different fonts, the pictures covering up the wording, symbols being replaced with plain boxes, etc. Its been really frustrating and I'm not sure what else to try. I have attempted to use both safari and chrome on the iPad. I have tried to download them as powerpoints and then convert them to PDFs. I have noticed that the errors seem to appear as soon as I open them in safari or chrome before I even try to import them to the Goodnotes App. I have just made it work thus far but I was really hoping someone might have ideas to try or know how to fix it so I don't have to deal with it anymore. I have a friend with an iPad that downloads his just fine every day so I know it has to be a "me" problem.

Hello Jenmchad,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that your PowerPoints is not appearing correctly on your iPad. We'll be happy to help.

It sounds like you're using third party applications for your PowerPoints. We suggest to verify and ensure that your apps are updated to the latest software version. This can help to provide software improvements that can help: How to manually update apps on your Apple device

In addition, you'll wan to have the latest version of iPadOS 15.3.1 installed on your iPad. This will help improve the software on your device: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Please keep us posted with the results.

Kind regards.

But as I stated before, the problem occurs with the powerpoints before I even upload them into the app. When I get on blackboard in safari and click the document, it will open the pdf or powerpoint directly into another tab in safari and the problems are there. Then from that tab I click share to my goodnotes app but because the errors in the document were already present, it does not change them.
