Deleting music on Mac but not iPhone

iTunes takes up a lot of storage on my MacBook Air. Can I remove the data from my Mac and have it not effect the music and playlists I have in my iPhone through Apple Music?

Mac OS Ventura 13.1 - location of downloaded podcast Need to know where Ventura is storing podcast mp3 files. Have headphones I swim with that require me to copy .mp3 to headphone and since iTunes has gone away Apple has made it more difficult to accomplish this by hiding the location of where mp3 files, specifically podcasts, are stored.

If you subscribe to Apple Music you can turn syncing off in iTunes. And turn off automatic downloads.
