speakers work but no sound on ear piece from phone call

Suddenly can not hear phone calls unless on speaker phone.

Tried resetting network settings. Reinstalled updated software, checked the speakers using accessibility then audio visual and moved left to right and had sound on both. not sure what is left

Please help'
