My iphone turned off during the newest update. What should I do?

Hi,

It is normal for your iPhone to restart when installing a new update; it should reboot on the Apple logo during this process. If it didn’t, or if it hasn't rebooted at all, I would force restart:


  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the power button until you see the Apple logo appear.
