80% max force

If I want my mac to charge to 80% only how can I force it to? It was doing it previously and then I used it and now it's going to 100%

You do not have to micro-manage the Battery Health Management, let the macOS handle this for you.

It will come back around. A static 80% is just as detremental as a static 100%—give it time.

You unplug for a second it will return to 100%. Leave it plugged in and the macOS will make its own changes in due time.

The rule of thumb is— if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on battery only.

Full stop.
