Preview Scrollbar Spontaneously Disappered

Hi. I was reading PDFs in Preview. The side scrollbar was there for several documents. Then I opened a file and the scrollbar was gone.

I didn't change any settings unless I somehow accidentally did a keyboard shortcut. No settings can be found to return the scrollbar. Restarting Preview didn't fix the problem.

The scrollbar also is now missing from all my documents, including the ones that had it before I closed Preview.

I'm running Monterey 12.2 and Preview Version 11.0 (1033.3)

Mac mini, macOS 12.2

Go to System Preferences->General and see what the settngs for scroll bars are: "Automatic...", "When scrolling" or "Always". See if changing this gives what you want.
