Early-2008 iMac, blue lines and freezes

Does anyone know how to fix this problem, when the iMac starts up, it stops and a couple of blue lines are shown, when it disappears, it freezes. I tried all the basics, nothing.

I am at a complete loss, does anyone know how to fix this:

imac freezing my imac freezes, restart and within a minute it freezes again! Any ideas?

Restart Freezes before completing I restarted my iMAC (circa 2013 - should be on latest iOS) and progress bar seems to completely fill in but then everything stops. Have tried several times including SAFE reboot (holding down shift key). Cannot access anything - no icons on screen etc. HELP!! Thanks

After 14 years of service it is dead. You can buy a SSD, however the computer has zero value. My recommendation is to replace it.
