iPhone 12 pro not sounding incoming email notifications

My iPhone 12 Pro Max (running iOS 15.3.)1 has stopped sounding incoming email notifications. Also stopped sounding for income texts but I remedied that by turning iMessage off then on as advised on Community Message Board. Any help here for email fixes?
