iMessage app is a Third Party software ? If so chichi wit the Developers of this Third Party Software for the removal process.
Message without the( I ) is a feature built into the Operating System and is part of the OS .
It can not be removed but can be removed from the Dock by Drag the icon from the dock to an empty space on the desktop and drop.
It is removed from the dock but still remains in Applications Folder of this computer
thank you for that....i just want the pop up window to stop popping up telling me to sign in. The message app or icon is not on the dock. Is there a version of OS that doesnt do this or that I can remove?
thanks terri
What needs to be clarified by the User ( you ) is this a Third Party Application or the Native Messages application that is part of the version of macOS installed on this computer.
This make big difference on what cause of action will be needed to be taken.
This is coming right from apple...its telling me that 'it needs my password to sign in to iMessage.' It just randomly pops up on my screen. I dont use facetime or any messaging services with apple.
Open the Messages app. Select Preference within Messages. Then select the Messages or iMessage account and UNCHECK "enable this account."
