I am trying to restore my iPhone 6s plus and I have a message on my phone to go to support.apple.com/iphone/restore. If I restore, would it remove all phone photos. Also my phone would not come on for me to download any photos to my MacBook.

If you are seeing the restore screen, it is already too late for your data. This is why it is so important to have regular backups. You are going to have to connect the device to the computer and restore it, and that will wipe everything. You can restore to your latest backup. If you were using iCloud photos, those photos would still be in iCloud, but if you just had the photos on the iPhone, then they will be lost.
