I can’t find a way to turn off the screen on my iPad Pro while casting to my TV. I mean, when I'm casting from my phone the screen automatically turn it off, so I can save battery, or I can press the power button once in my phone and the screen turn it off while casting to TV. I can’t do that in iPad Pro and the battery runs out quickly. Any help about this? Thank!

I am using an HDMI cable (plus lightning adapter) to mirror the screen of my new 10.2 iPad (or my 11” iPad Pro) and the screen would turn dark as soon as the connection was established up until 2 iOS updates ago. Now the screen stays on.
Hi babowa, thanks for your answer, it’s helpful but don’t solve the issue. With a cable I must be close to the TV, and it’s not an option now. When I’m streaming videos from YouTube, I just press the sleep-awake button of the iPad and that’s it, the screen of the iPad go to sleep while streaming to TV, but… when I’m streaming a video from a website (I’m doing an online training), when pressing the sleep-awake button the screen of both (iPad and TV) turn them off.
