Can ipads purchased in other regions be traded in the US?

I have an ipad purchased in mainland China, and now I want to buy a new one. Can this iPad trade in in the United States?

You’ll have to ask Apple that. If it’s a factor, it’ll get detected in the trade-in process, as that asks for the device serial number.
