Connecting two iMacs (Mid 2007) together for dual display.

Recently acquired two 24 " iMacs that are Mid 2007. I was wondering if I would be able to use them both together for a dual-display setup. Seeing that back of them that only way to do that would be through the Mini DVI port? Looking online I don't see any Mini DVI to Mini DVI cables. Was this an option then or was the technology not there yet?

Looking online I kept seeing Target Disk Mode. Is this the same concept? If so, what cable would I use?

Nope, no way that is going to happen. Target Disk Mode is something completely different, you are attempting Target Display Mode ( Target Display Mode (Target Display Mode) ) and if you read the info in the link you will see your Macs are way too old for Target Display Mode and also Target Display Mode is now dead. Before you ask, nope no work arounds either.
