Severe screen flickering issue on my MacBook Pro

Facing severe screen flickering issue when viewing code in github on my MacBook Pro. This seems to happen only with the safari browser, issue is absent when using firefox. I have updated to the latest version of macOS Monterey 12.2.1. Kindly help with the issue.

1. Force Quit Safari, launch Safari holding the Shift key down.

2. Startup in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac.
