hexadecimal unicode input broken, Any way to get Unicode to work with macOS 12.2.1 (21D62)?

When I select Unicode keyboard and hold down the option to start a simple entry like 0301 the first 0 brings up accessibility help. Any way to get Unicode to work with macOS 12.2.1 (21D62) MacBookPro15,1?

As far as I have found the Unicode Hex entry Extended keyboard is the only one that has (all) the diacritics in use for Umóⁿhoⁿ. I am hoping to get that method or an equivalent that accesses diverse Unicode characters working again.

You can use just about any keyboard to get the acute accent. For U+207f superscript small n, you can use Character Viewer or make a text substitution for it in system preferences > keyboard > text > replace with

For any Unicode Hex value that does not work in Monterey (there are several already caught), let Apple know via

I don't know why it would bring up Accessibility help. Holding Option and clicking on one of the special keys (F-keys) will open that system preferences. So, your problem might be somehow related to that. I can't replicate the problem, though.

If you just need extra diacritics and can't solve the Accessibility problem, the Extended keyboards have a plethora of chording options to use.

If you display the Keyboard Viewer, hold down Option to see all of the options highlighted. Hold Option + chording key, then type the letter you want attached to that diacritic.
