What USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 to DVI adapter?

First I would make sure the monitor is set to DVI.

Then I would test that adapter plugged into a different port on the iMac

Lastly I would test a different USB-C/TB3 to DVI adapter that states it is Mac compatible.

This is the adaptor that we are using:

I tested the monitor on an older iMac and it worked fine. It is connected but it flickers on and off, mostly off.

Thanks

John
