When i start my computer all i keep getting is a folder w/ a '?' flashing. I know it means it doesnt/cant find os,but I know theres got to be a way to fix it. How?

How do I fix the problem of the flashing folders/ question mark? It is a Mac desktop....

Hello, good afternoon.

It doesn’t just mean missing operating system, it can also mean dead hard drive. I think it is highly unlikely that you have a dead hard drive, but here is a link that may help you:
