Trying to pair my new Apple Watch 7 with my iPhone 11. Says my phone is out of date. I show no updates to do. Ideas?

Remove any add-on VPN apps loaded, and any add-on security apps, connect to Wi-Fi, restart your iPhone, and try checking for updates again.
