iphone 11 in Italy?

I am going to Italy for 10 days and I would like to use my iphone for directions, and texting and possible emails. What do I need to do for this to work? I would rather not switch out and buy a sim card in italy. Can I just use my i phone 11 the way it is and work out details with my service provider?

Yes you can. Ask your cellular service provider whether they have service in Italy. If they have data service in Italy then you are good to go. Be sure to ask them about international data rates as well. This way you will know what the cost will be and not be surprised when you get back home with a bill that you did not expect.
