Problems with login of AppleTV on Sony Bravia (Android) TV

I have a Sony Bravia XR-5590J. When I attempt to go to the AppleTV app login page I get a spinning gear(?) but it never goes to the login screen. I read an article that said some privacy setting needed to be enabled but failed to mention which setting. I've search through them all, toggling everything and retrying, but nothing changes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have installed the update, uninstalled the update, nothing changes. Any idea what I am missing?
