My MacBook Pro 13-Inch 2015 has a green tint when viewing dark background and watermark visible when viewing white backgrounds.

So this started when I cleaned the display with some wet wipes. I later realised that was a bad idea because now my MacBook's screen has now a green tint when left turned off overnight. The issue does go away after a couple of hours but it is very annoying when you first open it up. I have heard that the fix for this was to expose the screen to a UV light (sunlight). Does this actually fix the problem or is my screen totally screwed? There is also this watermark on the display when viewing white backgrounds in certain viewing angles. Will this go away as well?

Doubtful. It is wishful thinking. I did mention that perhaps the mark may be less noticeable after the liquid dries, but "perhaps" and "less" are the operative words here. You can certainly wait and see, but I think you will need to replace the Display Assembly. Is it even worth it for a seven year old laptop?

When cleaning any electronic device you just want to use a lightly dampened cloth.
