The United Airlines App will not open on my iPad Pro 2018. My iPad is OS 15.3.1. I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times including today after yesterday’s United app update. I have shutdown my ipad, etc. The app starts to open and then closes down. Any clue why this is happening?

I started having the same problem with the Yelp app. Yelp responded to my inquiry right away. They said they thought it was an issue with keyboards. They suggested removing the ipad from my Smart Keyboard to see if I still had the issue. Once I disconnected the Smart Keyboard, the United and Yelp apps work just fine.

Tried to download United App to new iPad Air. Appears just fine on iPhone and old iPad. Called United, they said talk to Apple. Went to Apple, they said third party app! Gave up. One last search and found the above post from Kimberlyfromnokomis, and removed iPad Air from magic keyboard. It worked like a charm. However, Morrisfromhumble is correct. Apple should get it right!! Thank you.

The only fix I have found is to remove my iPad from the Smart Keyboard. Then the United app will work.
Removing the Magic keyboard on my iPad Pro 2020 fixed the problem with United App.
Yes this should be fixed in the software.
I know the “temporary fix” of removing the iPad Pro from the keyboard works, but this isn’t the needed solution from Apple. Apple is responsible for both pieces of hardware and needs to make them fully compatible. The keyboard Apple is pushing is very expensive. So you would think they would resolve this issu
Oh wow! I, too, have an iPad Pro with the latest IOS. It didn’t work with the Pro and the Smart Keyboard but it worked on the iPhone. Your suggestion of removing it from the Smart Keyboard worked for me. I removed it from the Smart Keyboard and it opened. I then re-attached it to the Smart Keyboard and it stayed open. I hope that continues. Thank you!

I’ve contacted United. Today I spoke with United Web Services and they will escalate but had no solution. It’s only an issue on the iPad Pro. The App works on my iPhone 12 and an ipad Air.
I have exactly the same problem! For some reason it will not work on my 2020 Ipad running 15.3.1 but it works on my iphone 12. Like you, I deleted and reinstalled… restarted the device. Nothing works.

The app works on my iPhone 12 Pro.
I am having the exact same problem on my iPad pro. Works on my phone and work iPad (not pro).
Apple needs to resolve the communications issue so the United (and other) app will work with the expensive keyboard you sell as an essential attachment for the iPad Pro
