Occasionally, I find (after identifying people in a photo) that some of the names do not STICK. I have struggled with this quirk multiple times over several years. I have attempted to find help on line and have raised this question at the Apple store.
Has ANYONE else experienced this problem?
I would appreciate any explanation or suggestions.

We're also glad to hear your search through our Community Forums has provided further insight. Yes, if your iCloud Photos Library is large (as you've detailed), it may take a little time for items to update. This can also be dependent upon the network you are connected to.

Do the photos that aren't saving names seem to be specific to any location, type of photos taken, or from a particular date range?
Does restarting your iPhone help?

Thank you, so much, for the quick response. I have not observed any pattern to these events.
This forum has offered some thoughts new to me. Apparently these types of changes (naming faces) take some time (not readily apparent) to complete, it the computer is turned off before such tasks are complete the instruction could be lost. I am wondering if the size of my photo library could be a factor (70,796 photos, 7,504 videos).
