Looking For a Mac Data Mapping Application

Many years ago there used to be a handy little application for the Mac called iMap. No, not Apple Maps. This was a fantastic little tool that allowed you to plot data points (businesses) by their address.

Today it appears that this function has migrated to the cloud with many offerings. The only drawback is that they are expensive and rather limited in terms of the amount of data one can plot 'free of charge.'

I need to plot the location of schools on a local county basis to a national basis. Any suggestions of a great downloadable application would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I can't be sure since you haven't shared which OS you are using, so that I could provide a more precise suggestion as to the compatibility between your system and any particular app for its version.

I'm not sure If this might be what you might need. MapInfo

It was a quick find, but I assumed you needed an older software as you wrote it under Older Software category.

If that's the case, your first was to go is that website. Macintosh Garden is the ultimate legacy database for anything Macintosh. I had used a lot of help from there for my older iMac. You can maybe find something better fitting by searching there.

Hope it helps. 🤞🏼
