Facetime opens on MBP when I decline a call

I have set up my iPhone such that I can receive and make calls on my new MBP. So when a call comes through, I receive the notification to Receive or Decline a call. The issue is this: When I hit decline on my MBP to stop the call, the call is successfully declined. However, then the FaceTime app opens up on my MBP.

So this is actually quite disturbing as often, I am in the middle of work and simply want to decline a call for any reason (e.g., spam call). I don't want my FaceTime to then saddening open up on my screen. That is simply another kind of interruption.
