Viewsonic touchscreen & Apple TV

my new classroom has a giant Viewsonic touchscreen TV which I can either cast to directly as just another screen, or plug my Macbook Air into it with HDMI and USB C cables to use the Viewsonic as an external touchscreen.

But what I'd like to do is connect my Apple TV to the Viewsonic (with HDMI and USB C) and use the Viewsonic as a wireless external touchscreen. So far no luck. Can anyone help?

There will be no feedback from the screen to Apple TV and then to Mac, so touchscreen and other screen software functionality won’t be working when Apple TV is in use. The USB port on early models Apple TV is only for service and support (i.e. restoring), so not for other signals.

So far no luck.

What did you try? What was the result?

Consider that maybe none/few here have experience with that screen in combination with Apple TV. Try ViewSonic Support instead.
