Payment and Shipping Settings malfunctions
I’ve recently been getting notices from Apple that I need to update my payment method. I got notices in email and thru the Settings app (it put a notification on my iPad Home Screen pull down). There’s a red “1” notice on my Settings app icon on my Home Screen. When I open the Settins, under my name, there’s an Update Payment Details link with a red “1” on it. It’s a link to Payments and Shipping. When I select that notice, an Update Payment link pops up briefly. It doesn’t stay there long enough to select the Update Payment link, and it goes back to the Settings Home page.
I figured out (after quickly trying to hit the link before it defaulted back to the Settings Home Screen) that the faulty link was going to take me to the Payment and Shipping setting.
For days I’ve repeatedly updated my credit card info, but kept getting payment method problem notifications. Today I deleted my credit card data, and added PayPal. - as the default. I loaded my credit card info back in as a secondary payment method. The setting took both, and they appear correctly when I open the Payment and Shipping setting.
But the red dot notice on the Settings icon on my home screen hasn’t gone away
