Notifications are silent when in car and focus is off. Notifications work when Car play is in use with the usb cable. When there is no cable connection all notifications are silenced even with Focus or Do Not Disturb off.
How do I get sound for message notifications when not using CarPlay?

It sounds like you're not receiving sounds for notifications when paired to your car via Bluetooth. We can understand wanting to look into that further. We want to help.
That would likely be expected behavior. When an iPhone is connected to a bluetooth accessory, most of the sound features are automatically re-routed to said accessory. Not all care stereos have features available to play notification sounds via Bluetooth.

Sounds plausible. Is there any way to find out if Chevrolet Equinox 2021 is able to do this? It really does not turn the notification out. As soon as I am in my car the sound is reduced to the bottom of the indicator so I cannot hear it. I even went in and changed the setting to be that sounds can only be changed with the buttons. However it still does it. If I adjust the sound when I get in the car it automatically turns it back down. Thanks!
