Real spider's nest in MacBook Pro speakers!

GF just had Apple refuse repair on her fuzzy sounding speakers. When tech opened the case, he found a spider in a cocoon and well as other buggy stuff. We live in her very clean house in N. Berkeley and have been referred to third party repair shops. Any suggestions or comments (besides the usual expected wisecracks)?

Apple does give AASPs some room to refuse to repair a system if there is a perceived health or safety issue. The other "buggy stuff" might be the real problem depending on what that "buggy stuff" is. Obviously those spiders and "buggy stuff" got inside the laptop. You could try taking the laptop to another AASP to see if they will repair the laptop.
