Apple's Mac OS X Lion Installer link warning.

I'm trying to download Mac OS X Lion to have the last version 10.7.5 to install on an old Mac. I'm using Apple's page here: Mac OS X Lion Installer

When I click on it, I get the warning, "This connection is not private." The link is pointing here: https://updates.cdn-apple.com/2021/macos/041-7683-20210614-E610947E-C7CE-46EB-8860-D26D71F0D3EA/InstallMacOSX.dmg

I thought https://updates.cdn-apple.com was officially Apple and safe. Since I can no longer download Lion from the AppStore, is this the only way to get this installer or is there another option? Is this link just old and getting that warning, or should it really be avoided?

Thanks!

Hello Kon-El,

To answer your question, that is an official link from Apple and the installer is what you would need to get Mac OS X Lion installed. You should be able to use that download safely to install Lion. This would be the only link available for it.

If you need to, you can also leave feedback for that page about the warning here: Feedback - Apple.com Website - Apple

Take care.
