Is it possible to control an iPhone from MAC computer?

I currently use a Quha Zono head mouse to control my MacBook Pro. It is a really efficient way to control it as I can use all the different clicks and drags, and this enables me to use every function on a computer. However, on my iPhone I need to rely on voice control as I don't have the option to connect this mouse to it. My question, is is there a software where I can remotely see my iPhone screen and control it from my computer. Something similar to desktop sharing software, but instead it would be an iPhone sharing software. Let me know if there's any possibility thanks.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.2

Hi

I looked at this a while ago and concluded that it was not possible, I understood Apple do not allow remote control of iOS devices. You can view an iOS device screen on the Mac, but cannot control the device.

iOS now has inbuilt head tracking - it is relatively new and I am not yet convinced it is fully functional but worth a look. One thing I tried was displaying the iPhone screen on my Mac (using Reflector app) but controlling the iphone directly using the accessibility tools on the phone. This works OK technically, but how practical it is I cannot say.

I thought the Quha was able to work with iOS - have you tried that? It also says you can connect to more that one device if you have two receivers. I have not tried this and again I am not sure how practical it is for day to day use as I do not believe you can switch between devices.

Hope that helps. I would be interested to hear if you find a workable solution.

I agree - it would be simpler just to be able to control the phone via the mac screen and not have to have workarounds for every app/task - but I do not think this is something that is likely to happen.

A couple of things to note, if you are not already aware.

You can make and receive calls on the iphone through Facetime on the Mac. I use this a lot to make calls etc.

If you have an M1 chip Mac some iOS apps can run on the Mac. I think this is fairly limited at the moment, but prossibly something to keep watching to see if it provides any opportunities to simplify your work processes.

Great to hear the Quha works well for you - I had heard it has a lot of good features.

Thanks a lot for your reply. QuHa works with the iPhone, I just need to get a lightning to USB adapter. However, my dear idea was to have a centralized control from my computer. 90% of the stuff I can do it through the Mac software but there is a 10% stuff that needs to be done on the phone and my thinking was to do it all through my laptop's screen. I was imagining a screen mirroring software that also had remote control, something like TeamViewer would do on a computer.

By the way, the Quha Zono is really amazing. Much better than any camera based head tracking software, it's light, very precise, and I always wonder why so many people with upper-limb motor disabilities do use this technology and instead rely on the switches or joysticks using the chin. With my Zono I'm basically almost as fast, if not faster, than a "normal person" using a mouse. I guess the only downside is if your gaming, but in my case, where most of the time I use editing software like Adobe Premier, Photoshop, and after effects, plus just regular web browsing, Youtube, movies etc. it is perfect.

Thanks
