Upgrade my iMac o/s

If I have an iMac Retina 5K, 27 inch, 2019 running Big Sur 11.6.1, can it be upgraded to Monterey? System Preferences won't find an update or find the update through the App Store.

iMac, macOS 10.12

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on Monterey. If you get a Mac App Store preview page, change the https at the beginning of its address to macappstore.

I get to the App Store and select GET. My Software Update pops up and it just keeps saying "Finding Update".

I updated my macbook air and my mac mini today with no problems. It is just the iMac which is fairly new that is giving me a headache.
