iTunes install error on Macbook air (Monterey 12.2.1)

I am getting error "This package is incompatible with this version of macOS. The package is trying to install content to the system volume. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance".

How do I resolve this issue and get iTunes installed on my macbook air?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

Hi,

You can’t install iTunes as it is no longer compatible with MacOS Monterey.

What happened to iTunes? – Apple Support (UK)
