Changing the look of the Terminal window

I found a way to change the colors of all the text that appears in a Terminal window but is there a way to make different parts of the command line different colors? I want to show my user as red and any commands I input as white but I cant mix and match it seems, or I'm just not able to find it. The first pic is what it looks like now (boxed out my name for reasons) but the second pic is what I'm looking to do. Also, is there a setting to change how big the Terminal window is on startup because as of now it starts up and is maybe 1/8 of my total screen real estate and I always have to stretch it out.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.2

You want to use %F{red} in front of the codes for user@host. You set the PROMPT environment variable in .zshrc file in the root of your home directory. You can set the value of PROMPT in real time to experiment before you save the configuration to the .zshrc file.
