When streaming video from, for example, iPlayer, it is easy to get subtitles on theImac, but when streaming via AppleTV, despite seemingly clicking all the right boxes, subtitles never appear.
Any suggestions?

and it does not work then maybe the material do not support subtitles in which case if it was me I would reach out to the content providers

Regardless of ANY setting I have set, subtitles NEVER appear.
