I'm using iPad Air 4 and IMac 27".
Until yesterday, the iPad resolution came out well when connecting the sidecar.
However, when I connected the iPad today, there was a problem with the resolution.

I tried everything, such as rebooting my computer, disconnecting, and deleting "com.apple.windowserver.XXXXX.plist".
But it still doesn't work.
How should I fix it?
Are you trying to mirror the iMac screen to the iPad? Since the iPad screen is much smaller and with lower resolution than the iMac this will either make everything tiny on the iPad or huge on the iMac.
Perhaps you meant to extend the desktop instead of mirroring. Press Command-F1 to switch between mirroring and extended desktop.

You cannot expect to mirror a 27” screen to a 10” screen and not have everything tiny.
You need to extend the desktop, not mirror the two displays.
Not sure what we are supposed to see. Are you saying that the text is too small? Too big? (In my defense, I am reading your post on my iPhone).
Can you select the ipad display in System Preferences and choose a different size (eg “more space or larger text, as the case may be)?

I thought you might be mirroring, because that would explain the scaling issue.
I now know that it was not that.
In fact I was able to reproduce the problem on my mac. I had not seen it before. I will have to do some more testing after work, and I will come back.

The extend doesn't take up the full real estate of the iPad screen and is cut off. There is no option to change the iPad's resolution. All devices on latest OS, bluetooth on, same WiFi, same apple account. A few people have this issue with no fix.
The iPad resolution is the same size as the iMac (As you can see in the first picture) and the text is too small in iPad.(second picture)
iMac have no option about iPad display size or resolution.
In addition to using the keyboard shortcut Command-F1, you can also do this in System Preferences:
same issue, have had the issue for over 2 months now, no fix from anyone...
