Screen scrolls to the top on its own

Im asking this question for my dad. His iPhone 13, which he bought a month ago, just scrolls automatically to the top of a page while he is looking at apps like WhatsApp, Signal, and Safari. It happens a few times a day. He went to a Genius Bar and he was told to do a reset of the phone. He did the reset and it’s still occurring. Is there a fix? Thanks.

Just was experimenting this morning and found the "problem"

Try touching around the "notch" or at the very top of the screen and you will find that this simple touch will cause WHATEVER app you are using to scroll to the top, or attempt to do so.

Tell your dad to try to not touch up there or around it because this behavior "just happens"
