device registered on icloud does not appear on find iphone app. cannot track its whereabouts. it was once on find myiphone app, but since missing it is not on the app any more. appreciate any tips, please

in fact i have used the 'find my app' on the missing ipad to locate and turn on notifications on iphone and other applications
