wd drive agent not responsive

2017 27 inch iMac running MacOS 12.2.1 using WD MyBook 4TB external drive for Time Machine backups. After successful Time Machine backups WD Drive Agent seems to stay at 99% CPU in Activity Monitor. No other apparent impacts. Process can be Quit or Forced Quit, then restarts when needed again. Looking for suggestions to prevent this.

The WD software is not needed and you should uninstall it.

Thank you. Must have been from an old ext drive. Files deleted and all good now.
