I had a bunch of itunes music from 2005 - 2015 or so, I cannot figure out how to find it or play it for free.

Help, I have massive music which I paid for with good money from itunes when it first came out. I really did not think I would ever have to pay to play it through a paid app (apple music). Now I just got an iphone after many years. I would like to listen to this music again. However it seems that I have to pay monthly to access this? Where is the button to please just get all my money back for the the stuff I already bought? How do I access my library for free without subscribing for a fee? Where was it written that I was just renting this music until you decided to upgrade to charge me again?

iPhone 7, iOS 15

Person,

The easiest way to restore is from your backup, assuming you made one.

Otherwise, if you are still using the same Apple ID, are in the same country, and the content is still available, you may be able to redownload fresh copies of your purchased tracks at no charge. Follow the steps in here:
