Airpods 3 not updating

I purchased AirPods 3 on eBay after followed all the instruction, still not updated I left AirPods near to iPhone since last 3 days and my iOS version 15.3.1

Did you try it this way?

Put your AirPods into the case, close it, open it again and leave it open, so that the AirPods can connect to the iPhone.

Then connect the charging cable to the case, leaving the case open. The firmware update should start shortly after that.
