sounds like a service recommended message...there is just two conditions (Normal and Service Recommended).


If the battery is working well enough to meet your needs you can ignore it, otherwise take it in for replacement.

Seems Apple fine tuned their battery management system.

But, depending on the use of your MacBook Pro, it could really be time to replace the battery.

I did get this message in Mojave after 8 years of use, but my MacBook Pro has been connected to the charger most of the time.

Getting it replaced by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider was an easy process.

Thanks. Almost always my device has been connected in my office; disconnected only while locked away sleeping at night. The day of upgrading to Monterey it was not connected for a few hours and crashed dramatically. Now seems okay but at some point will make the trudge to a service center for hardware diagnostics since online diagnosis is apparently not an option.
