Boots advantage card in apple waller

I have a digital boots advantage card and successfully added it to my Apple Wallet. Since then

I have changed my ‘phone and when I try to add the advantage card to the wallet on my new phone I get the following message. I have removed all of the information from and reset the old phone and can that there is nothing on there. I can’t find any information anywhere how to rectify this. Any help much appreciated thanks

Were you using a different Apple ID account on your old device? If so, you can sign in using that Apple ID and attempt to add the card again.


Sign in with your Apple ID


If you were not using a different Apple ID, you should contact the card issuer for further help. Apple does not approve or decline cards for use with Apple Pay, so that message is coming from the card issuer.

I have asked the issuer who state:

Unfortunately, this is a known error with new I-phones and transferring the Boots Advantage Card from the Apple Wallet over to the new device. We are currently investigating this to see if there is any resolution on our end, however in the meantime you can contact Apple Support to see if they can assist you or scan your Advantage Card directly from your Boots App.
