Iphone 6s gap in battery 100% to 10% in seconds!

I keep my iphone 6s on the charger every night so it is fully charged when I wake up. I have battery issues like everyone- losing charge when not in use, being fully charged and 3 hours later dead, no big deal, I’m used to it. BUT this morning when I took it off the charger and went to check on the usual, my phone turned off by itself. I figured it must be because I’ve procrastinated the new update (13.5.1) but nope- it was truly dead! It went from 100%-10% in SECONDS! What? Why is that?.

This question was posted before and appeared to be acting as though it was answered but it wasn’t. The article referenced as an answer was not helpful. What the **** is going on. This is happened over and over again to my iPhone 6s and I am totally up-to-date on all the software updates. Essentially the iPhone will simply shut off and then when I turn it back on again it says that there’s only 10% of power in the battery when I know that’s not true if I then cut it off myself and restart it myself it’ll show 100% back again.

Lately however, it persists and say 10% even after I restart it. So I will restart it to get back to 100% and then three minutes later it’ll say 10% again. Essentially it’s making the iPhone worthless. I’ve already taken it to one of the Genius Bar’s that’s not Apple directly and they couldn’t tell me anything other than the battery still shows 90% maximum power availability. I made another appointment with an Apple specialist tomorrow but I would like to get this fixed.

What a gasp!

That means that your iPhone is draining battery!

Recommendations

  1. Turn Low Power Mode on
  2. If the battery is still draining, uninstall apps which drain a lot of battery.
  3. Still draining the battery? DON'T set a very high value of brightness.
  4. Turn Dark Mode on (BECAUSE IT'S 10000000% MORE USEFUL THAN LIGHT MODE)
  5. Disable not useful Location Services of System Services

Done!

Configuration Paths

  1. Settings ➡ Battery ➡ Low Power Mode (Toggle to on)
  2. Settings ➡ General ➡ iPhone Storage
  3. Settings ➡ Display & Brightness (Set a low value of brightness)
  4. Settings ➡ Display & Brightness (Check Dark Mode)
  5. Settings ➡ Privacy ➡ Location Services ➡ System Services (Recommendation: disable everything because everything is draining battery)
