Malware on my MacBook?

Greetings everyone, I appreciate your time in reading this.

Recently, my MacBook started experiencing some weird occurrences. This has never happened and frankly, I'm a little confused why it has happened (I have always used secure password managers, complex passwords, and for a while, a VPN).

(outside of specific occurrences I have been quite worried that I do have something on my computer, just because of random websites I accidentally go to- or some I do intend to go to, like the ones provided by the useless web, haha- or changed in processing speed, or random things appearing in Activity Monitor, and just some things I can't put my finger on)

First, on March 2 of this year, when I opened my computer, a found my terminal open and lots of code executing. I quickly shut it down.

Then, while randomly browsing the web, I misclicked on a website and accidentally went to a website called dzs . kankezw . com. (please do not attempt to go to this website, I do not think it is safe). Immediately, amidst a blank, black background, I was asked if I should allow this website to download something to my computer. I of course left the site (I might have declined the popup, not sure; I am sure that there really was something downloading because in the top right corner of my Safari browser the download icon was circled in blue), but while checking my screen time usage, the website keeps showing up, even when my computer is turned off. Right now, the website is sitting at a cool 15h of usage.

It is currently being blocked by screen time, but I don't know if it is working.

I am happy to provide any system information or screenshots needed for solutions.

I appreciate y'alls time, and hopefully I can sort this out.

Have a good one and stay safe, y'all.

edit: the administrator of my device forgot their password, so certain actions I cannot perform; I am also uncertain how my admin might recover or change their password.

When you get pop ups that you didn't ask for, don't click on them. Try downloading Malwarebytes and run it.https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac If it finds nothing or you still have a problem Download ,run and post the systems report for Etrecheck.https://etrecheck.com/ For retrieving passwords.https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212190
